Course Overview:
American History from Reconstruction to 1970
This course picks up where the seventh grade history class ends, with Reconstruction. Students will explore major events and themes in American history: Reconstruction, westward expansion, the Industrial Age, and the Progressive Era, World Wars I and II, the Cold War and Civil Rights. A variety of teaching methods, including lecture, group work, guided research, and class discussion will help students retain material.
